Rum Pomander Cocktail with Apple Cider Ice Ball

As the seasons change, our taste in beverages change.  In the summer, lighter drinks with bright flavors hit the spot, but when cooler weather arrives, we want fuller flavored, boozy cocktails. The spice of rum, orange and ginger pair perfectly with apple cider, frozen into a perfect sphere with The Whiskey Ice Co. Spherical Ice Ball Maker. As the apple cider ice ball slowly melts, the flavor of the apple cider blends with the cocktail.

Ingredients:
2 oz Premium-quality aged dark rum
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Ginger Syrup
.5 oz Dry Curacao / Fine Triple Sec
.5 oz Aperol
1 Apple Cider Ice Ball (recipe below)

Tools:
Cocktail shaker, Strainer, Double Old-fashioned Glass, Whiskey Ice Co Spherical Ice Ball Maker, ½ oz – 1 ½ oz. Professional Stainless Jigger

To Make Apple Cider Ice Ball:
Fill your Whiskey Ice Co Ice Mold to the top of the logo with fresh-pressed apple cider. Freeze solid and form an ice ball using your Whiskey Ice Co spherical ice ball maker.

Assembly:
Fill the cocktail shaker half-full with ice and add all ingredients. Give it a quick shake until chilled.

Place the apple cider ice ball in the glass and strain cocktail into the  glass, pouring over top the apple cider ice ball. Garnish with a strip of orange peel.
